This socket has 5 wires - blue and red are for powering the servo, black ones are for potentiometer... upper blacks are +5, GND the lower is the sensor input.
GM steering sensor part #26104070 tahoe hummer made by ALPS.
We will be using pins 1,2 and 6. Computer FAN plug fits, but we need two.
Pin 1 - +5V
Pin 2 - GND
Pin 6 - sensor info to the CPU
I use additional chip (MAX202) for bootloading the cpu.
The only fast and easy mounting point, I see, is behind the pedals - after the 8. on the drawing.
